If you thought that you could avoid Ed Sheeran by turning your radio off, think again. The ‘Shape of You’ singer is now appearing on bottles of Heinz Tomato Ketchup. Ed, who has just hit the number 1 spot in the charts with ‘Remember The Name’, a collaboration with Eminem and 50 Cent has also joined forces with the famous condiment manufacturer to create ‘Edchup‘. And where there’s demand, there are folk trying to sell things for daft prices on eBay. Plenty of people have been flocking to eBay to capitalise on Sheeran’s special sauce by listing it for up to £72 ($89.90) a bottle – including postage and packaging. How generous.

One seller suggests that you could buy a bottle of ketchup for your loved ones at Christmas.
“Ketchup has August 2020 best before date so perfect as a stocking filler come Christmas when these will be long gone!
The seller continued: “A hard to find great little collectible.” They obviously haven’t checked their local B&M. They’ve got crates of the stuff.
“The redhead rocker is famed for his love of this sauce, and even has a tattoo tribute to it on his left bicep.”
“Unopened obviously,” which to me is the minimum I’d expect for a £72 bottle of sauce.
The self-proclaimed ketchup superfan took to Instagram to announce his partnership with Heinz.
Heinz had previously claimed that one-third of its Instagram activity since 2014 has featured Ed, either in tags or mentions, which makes them super-fans of the musician too.
Another person who has been capitalising on Ed Sheeran’s rise to fame is Ty Jones, a doppleganger who works in a bingo hall.
He said: “I have people coming over crying and shaking, as if I am actually Ed. They say ‘I know you’re trying to keep a low profile’, and sometimes they’re that worked up they can’t even get a selfie in focus because their hands are shaking.
“If they’re that hyped up you feel guilty letting them down by saying I’m not actually Ed.”
