What you need:

  • Baking soda
  • Hydrogen peroxide

What to do:

  • Sprinkle some baking soda all around the dirty oven pan, then pour a bit of hydrogen peroxide to make it all wet like a paste.
  • After this, sprinkle some more soda on top and leave it for a couple of hours or more.
  • Wash the paste off and enjoy your clean like-new oven tray.

2. Get rid of stubborn tea stains.

What you need:

  • Baking soda

  • Detergent
  • Water

What to do:

  • Mix a little bit of baking soda and detergent in the mug.
  • Add boiling water to the mixture.
  • Wait 5 minutes and wash the mug out.

3. Clean dust from nets and window screens.

What you need:

  • A lint roller

What to do:

  • Simply slide the roller over a surface that has any dust, spider webs, or other “fuzz.”

4. Use a sock and a glass to help you clean hard-to-reach cup holders in your car.

What you need:

  • Sock
  • A round glass that fits your car’s cup holder
  • Washing solution

What to do:

  • Put a sock over the bottom of a glass.
  • Spray the washing solution on the sock.
  • Put the glass with the sock in the car’s cup holder and twist it around a couple of times to remove the dust.
  • Repeat several times until the cup holder is clean.

5. Remove old stains from your carpet.

What you need:

  • Hot water
  • Ammonia
  • Spray bottle
  • Color-safe towels
  • Clothes iron

What to do:

  • Preheat the iron.
  • In a spray bottle, mix ammonia and hot water in 1:1 proportion. Shake the mixture to combine the ingredients together.
  • Spray the mixture onto the stain, put a towel on top, and press it with a hot iron.
  • Move the iron over the towel. Check to see if the stain gets removed. If not — spray some more mixture, cover with the towel, and continue the procedure with the iron.
  • Repeat several times using new towels — it might take 2-3 towels to remove the stain.

6. Clean up spilled wax easily.

What you need:

  • Newspaper
  • Clothes iron

What to do:

  • Preheat your iron to the lowest temperature.
  • Cover the hardened, spilled wax with a piece of newspaper.
  • Put the warm iron on top of the newspaper and wait a few seconds.
  • As soon as the wax melts, remove the iron, and wipe everything with the newspaper.

7. Quickly wash your blender.

What you need:

  • Hot water
  • Dish soap

What to do:

  • Pour hot water into a dirty blender and add a few drops of dish soap.
  • Put on the lid and turn the blender on.
  • Wait for a couple of minutes and pour the mixture out.
  • Wash it off one more time with some water.

8. Remove cat fur from your furniture effectively.

What you need:

  • Nitrile gloves.

What to do:

  • Put nitrile gloves on.
  • Gently swipe the fur from the furniture until it’s clean.

9. Quick solution for fruit and berry stains

Stains from berries, fruit ice creams, and vegetables can be easily removed with just water.

What you need:

  • Pot
  • Boiling water

What to do:

  • Fill a pot with a lot of water and bring it to a boil.
  • Put the clothes that have the stains on them on top of another pot. This pot should be empty.
  • Once the water is boiling, slowly start pouring it on the stains.
  • The bigger the stain, the more water you might need. They will gradually disappear as you pour water on them.
  • Once you are done, put the clothes in the washing machine.

Tip: This procedure should be done before you wash your clothes in a washing machine. If you wash them first, it will be harder to remove the stains.

10. Homemade dishwasher detergent tabs

What you need:

  • Ice cube tray
  • 2 cups of detergent and 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1 cup citric acid
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 tbsp white distilled vinegar
  • 1 tsp castile soap
  • 15-20 drops lemon essential oil

What to do:

  • In a bowl, mix detergent, baking soda, citric acid, and salt together.
  • Slowly add vinegar to this mixture and stir. During this process there might be fizzing, this is normal. Also, you might not need the whole amount of vinegar, so add a little bit of it at a time.
  • Then add the castile soap and lemon essential oil and stir. The mixture should not be too watery.
  • Put it in ice cube trays and set it out to dry for at least 24 hours.
  • Take your tabs out of the trays and they are ready to use.

11. Clean the plates of your flat iron.

What you need:

  • Hydrogen peroxide

  • 1/4 cup of baking soda

What to do:

  • Put a thick layer of this paste on top of the iron plates.
  • Leave for 10 minutes.
  • Wipe it with a cloth or a sponge, and it’s ready to use.

12. Clean your grill with an onion.

What you need:

  • Half of an onion
  • Lemon juice

What to do:

  • Warm your grill up before starting the cleaning.
  • Get half of an onion and, so you don’t burn your fingers, put it on a grilling fork, or something long.
  • Sprinkle some lemon juice on the grates. If you don’t have lemon juice, then use vinegar instead.
  • Run the onion over the grates to remove the dirt.
