In a Sunday tweet, Trump slammed Teigen and her husband, singer John Legend, claiming they and other criminal justice reform advocates were “taking the praise” for legislation he helped pass.
Trump called the “All of Me” singer “boring,” and referred to Teigen — an outspoken critic of the president — as Legend’s “filthy mouthed wife” in his tweet storm.
“Those two things are true,” Teigen told host Ellen DeGeneres with a big laugh, “John is boring and I do have a filthy mouth.”
Teigen, 33, ultimately fired back, dubbing Trump a “p**** a** b***” in a post to her more than 11 million followers.
Teigen called being targeted by the commander in chief a “weird feeling.”
“I was really angry. I think my eyes filled up with water just at the shock of it, that I can’t believe this really happened right now,” Teigen said. “He just goes on these rants. And usually it’s very late at night for him, you just wait for him to say something. And you don’t think it’s going to be you.”
