A gunman has shot and killed multiple people at a shopping centre in El Paso, Texas, USA, police have confirmed.

El Paso Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at Cielo Vista Mall just before 11am local time.
The force earlier issued a series of tweets, advising people to stay away from the area:
Witness Vanessa Saenz told Fox News she saw a woman fall to the ground.
She said: “All of a sudden you heard what sounded like fireworks, really loud fireworks.
“You could hear the pops, one right after another and at that point as I was turning, I saw a lady, seemed she was coming out of Walmart, headed to her car. She had her groceries in her cart and I saw her just fall.”
Walmart has issued a statement regarding the shooting.
The statement read: “We’re in shock over the tragic events at Cielo Vista Mall in El Paso, where store 2201 & club 6502 are located. We’re praying for the victims, the community & our associates, as well as the first responders. We’re working closely with law enforcement & will update as appropriate.”
President Donald Trump has been briefed about the shooting, White House deputy press secretary Steven Groves said.
