As fans of the Royal family know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to christen their son, Archie soon. However, some are not too happy about the rumors that the parents are planning a private ceremony.

The christening is believed to take place on July 6 at Windsor Chapel, where Meghan and Harry also tied the knot but at this point, the date is yet to be made official by the Palace.

Unlike their wedding however, which was broadcasted live all over the world, their son’s christening is allegedly going to be kept away from the public eye.

One insider tells Daily Mail that the parents have decided to have the ceremony close to the public due to the infant being a ‘private citizen.’

The source went on to claim that it’s expected to be a ‘very small gathering’ and that there are going to be pictures released on social media and through media outlets the day after, on Sunday, July 7.

But, as mentioned before, people are not happy about that at all and that includes royal biographer, Penny Junor who accused the two parents of wanting to have their cake and eat it too.

Chatting with The Times, Junor said: ‘They cannot have it both ways. Either they’re totally private, pay for their own house and disappear from public view or play the game the way it’s played. Seeing Archie and his godparents arriving at the christening’s what people are interested in; it is not baring your infant’s soul, just giving the public that loves and supports them a crumb to enjoy.’

‘If they want it to be really private, hold it in a parish church, not St George’s Chapel where royal ceremonies are held.’

After all, the citizens have paid millions of dollars for the refurnishing of their new home so it’s only fair they share some parts of their lives with them, Junor suggested.
