RHONJ Star Joe Giudice Asks Judge to Send Him to Italy After Bond is Denied, Seeks Immediate Release From ICE Custody

RHONJ Star Joe Giudice Requests to Be Sent to Italy After Being Denied Bond, Seeks Immediate Release From Ice Custody

Joe Giudice is ready to pack his bags and head to Italy.

Less than one week after the Real Housewives of New Jersey husband was denied bond, he and his lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., have filed new court documents, requesting that he be released from ICE custody as he awaits a final decision on his deportation appeal.

According to a September 24 report from TMZ, Joe hopes to be allowed to leave the Pennsylvania immigration detention center where he’s been kept since his prison release in March and transferred, temporarily, to Italy.

As his documents explained, Joe wants to put down roots in his native country and hopes to “begin working and contributing financially to his wife and four young children” as his fate is considered.

Earlier this month, a source revealed that Joe was planning to request to be sent to Italy due to the allegedly inhumane conditions at the immigration detention center if he was denied bond.

“It’s been horrible, and he doesn’t want to rot away there any longer,” a source told Radar Online on September 10. “The moment he is denied, he said he will pull his appeal and get ready to go to Italy.”

Following the bond denial, Joe’s wife, Teresa Giudice, spoke to Us Weekly and admitted that she and her kids, including Gia, 18, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 10, are going through “a really difficult time.”

“It’s a sad time with my husband and everything so we’re going to try and work it out as best we can,” she shared. “The most important thing is our four daughters, so I’m hoping Joe is able to stay in the United States.”

Although the outcome wasn’t good, Teresa is doing her best to stay positive.

“There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I do believe that. You’ve got to be positive!” she said.
