Shiv Pandit was born on 21 June 1984 (age 35; as in 2019) in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He was educated from Doon Public School, Dehradun and graduated from Hindu College, Delhi. Because of his father’s government job, Shiv spent most of his childhood in different places like Nagpur, Dehradun, Karnataka, and Delhi. Since his college days, Shiv was interested in acting and actively participated in various stage shows and also worked as a theatre artist.
Shiv was a part of various commercials like LG, Colgate, Airtel, Tide, Sprite and many more. In 2008, he hosted the 1st edition of the show ‘Extraaa Innings T20‘ for Indian Premier League (IPL). Shiv is also a state level football player. He is the co-owner of ‘Chandigarh Cubs‘ cricket team competing in the Box Cricket League (BCL) along with actress Anita Hassanandani. Shiv has also hosted shows like Studio Disney and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (season 3). He is often praised for taking up challenging roles.

In the year 2004, Shiv made his debut in the film industry with an English movie, Let’s Enjoy. Later he appeared in a Hindi movie, Aagey Se Right in 2009. However, he got his big break with the 2011 movie ‘Shaitan‘ (an Indian Crime Thriller). He was nominated for the Filmfare Award, Big Star Young Entertainer Debut of the Year, and Screen Award for his movie Shaitan.

In 2011, Shiv stood 3rd in the Times of India’s ‘Most Promising Newcomer.’ In 2012, Shiv was offered a lead actor in the Tamil movie ‘Leelai.’ Since then there has been no looking back for him. He appeared in a supporting role in the movie “Boss” in which Akshay Kumar played the lead. He was also seen in the movies like “Desi Boyz,” “Roy,” and Shivaay for which his sister Gayatri Pandit was the assistant director. Shiv was the lead actor in the 2016 Bollywood Thriller, 7 Hours To Go, also starring Sandeepa Dhar and Varun Badola.
In 2015, Shiv starred in a lead role of a gay character opposite Dhruv Ganesh in the Netflix movie, Loev, directed by Sudhanshu Saria. The film won AT&T Audience Award in Frameline Film Festival and Best Feature Audience Award in Tel Aviv Film Festival in the year 2016. Shiv also appeared in the Web Series, Untag and Selection day.
