Sweaters and sneakers — Warren details her campaign trail wardrobe for Vogue

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) isn’t exactly famous for her haute couture, but the 2020 White House hopeful makes sure her sneaker- and sweater-filled wardrobe is regularly stocked, she reveals in a new interview.

In a wide-ranging profile published Tuesday, Vogue’s Nathan Heller reports that the progressive lawmaker frequently shops online at Zappos for her kicks and scoops up several pairs of the exact same styles because “she likes the white soles to be clean and bright.”

According to Vogue, Warren’s wardrobe is “kept in spectral order,” which results in a look likened to Mr. Rogers’s closet “stretched across a color wheel.”

“She gets her sweaters at places like Target or H&M, snapping up every color on the rack,” according to the fashion mag.

“I want to look nice, and I want to spend no time getting dressed,” said Warren, 70.

“When I first ran for public office, I decided I needed a little color, but I wasn’t willing to invest the time in figuring out scarves and skirts and all of that, so I stuck to the black shoes, pants and top and figured I could put a colored blazer with that.”

Some of Warren’s campaign staffers typically select their boss’s hue for the day, depending on her scheduled lineup of events.

“Usually one of her first questions is ‘What color do we think today?’” aide Nora Kate Keefe said.
